Irish : Ag Campaíl
Chuamar at campáil ar lá de torthaí na scrúdaithe. D' eírigh go h-an mhaith leis an mbliain sa teastas shóisearach agus bhí aoibh mhaith ar gach duine. Phacálamar ár málaí le eadaí teolaíagus bia deas agus ar aghaidh linn go dtí an ionad campála I sleíbhte Cill Mhantaín ( Gleann Maolúra).
Bhí sé dúshlánach an poball a chuí suas ach d' eírigh linn ag an deireadh. Chuamar ar suíloíd fada ar an gceád lá. Nuair a d'fhilleamar ar a is, Rinneamar marshmallows thar an tine campála.
Ar an dara lá, Chuamar ag sleíbhteoireacht agus ag snamh. Bhí BBQ again agus bhíomar ag can ash agus ag roinnt scéalta timpeall an tine campála. Ní raibh mé ag campaíl cheanna agus thaitin sé go mór liom. Ba thaithí fiúntach é.

English: Sports stars are positive role models for youth today
eThe team role model is defined as 'a person whose behaviour, or success is or can be copied by others, especially younger people.'
Do sports stars make good role models? Although there are many reasons why they make positive role models, in my opinion, sports stars do not make good role models.
They are given a good opportunity and chance to make a good impression on younger generations as they are in the public view and their actions are being constantly viewed and criticised on.
Social Media is a huge part of a sports stars life whether they upload photos or videos themselves or articles and posts have been written and publish about them. Sometimes they can alter the truth and make something more extreme. Social Media is used by most young people today. What sports stars post determines what impressions they make for others. This can often make sports stars negative role models as they flaunt their money and purchases and the party lifestyle they live . This can teach younger kids today, that they are the important things in life , and that they determine how successful they are in life.
An argument , that might be used towards ' sports stars are positive models for youth today', is that they have believed in themselves and followed their dreams to become successful sports stars. They show how important hard work is and how it pays off in the end. With lots of hard work, dedication and motivation they show you that you can work towards and follow your dreams. They also show the benefits of a healthy lifestyle when they eat, train and live healthy. They encourage children to be strong and fit, although when working to be the best , sports stars can often be pressured into taking drugs, this is seen as a very negative influence for children today, as they need to learn that they need to work for their success and that their is not just another option to take.
Sports stars may also teach children that if they work towards it and play sport they will become professional athletes and sports stars where as this is not the case. A very small amount of people in the world are successful and make a living from sports, giving children unrealistic expectation.
As a result of social media, drug use, cheating and unrealistic expectation I am against ' Sports stars are good role models for youth today.'

English Debate
Good afternoon, I am here today to convince you that the death penalty should not be introduced in Ireland. Today one of the points I will be making is that we don't have the right to take someone else's life away no matter what action the other person has taken.
Everyone has to the human right to life, even those who commit murder. Sentencing a person to death and executing them violates that right. Everyone thinks human life is valuable. Human life is so valuable that even the worst convicts should not be deprived of the value of their lives. The value of the offenders life cannot be destroyed by the offenders bad conduct, even if they have killed someone. You cannot denounce the practice of murder by committing the very same act. If the goal of any punishment is to teach us the things we should not do, then the justice system should teach us that killing is wrong by refusing to take part in it.
Another point against capital punishment is that life in prison can often be much worse then death. Consider a offender is in prison for killing an infant girl by raping her. There is generally an unwritten "code of honour" in prisons that requires inmates to kill these offenders. Most prisoners were in some way abused as children. The murderer will be given a death penalty, but will probably spend ten years in prison beforehand.
He will most likely be housed in solitary confinement for protection but most of the time the inmates will find a way to him.
Pedophiles are often beaten to death, stabbed and sometimes be headed before guards who may deliberately ignore the scene can save them.
In prison, they lack freedom. Some prisoners are isolated or incarcerated for 23 hours a day in a tiny concrete cell. May offenders see execution as an escape from punishment. For example a prisoner in 2000did not see the death penalty as a punishment but instead a way to reunite him with his wife who was killed a few years previously.
For these reasons, I think Capital Punishment is an unnecessary threat.

English Presentation Report
I What I learned:
While doing my English presentation, I learned a lot of prejudice. I had an idea of what this was before starting my project but after I felt I had a better understanding of what it meant. I also learned the difference between discrimination and prejudice as before this I had thought they were the same thing. I had only to two classes where we read ' 12 angry men'. So I hadn't been very clear to me , what the play was all about. I learned a lot about the prejudice in the play and how different people have different prejudices.
What I would do differently:
If I had the chance to do my project again, I would have shorten it down. When I did my project I wanted to get as much information as possible so that I could fully explain and understand what I was talking about. As I was presenting my presentation I felt as if it dragged on and that I was boring my class.
I would also like to have been more prepared, if I did my presentation again, I would have organised my slides better and learned off what I was saying better. I felt this would have been easier to do, if it was shorter.

DCG: Calculator
The Calculator was the second solidworks project I worked on. I started the calculator by first sketching out the base and then extruding it. Then I sketched the screen of the calculator an extrude cut it to a depth of 2.5mm. Next I moved onto adding the buttons of the Calculator in. To do the main number buttons , I first sketched, filleted and extruded one button , I then used the Linear pattern button and created a linear pattern to create the rest of the button. I followed this same procedure for the top button just with different measurements. I then added a collinear relation to create the larger button at the bottom.
To finish off the calculator, I filleted and chamfered the body of the calculator and added numbers and text to the buttons and body of the calculator.
